On March 29, 2025, a very special concert took place in the community center in Seelbach:
Several local artists performed together with the Wittelbach Music Association. Clemens Meier, the conductor, always looks for something special for this series. The performers included Tamira Himmelsbach (vocals), Martin Wölfe (vocals), Sandra Hog (violin), Bruno Ruch (piano), Helmut Dold (vocals/trumpet), and myself.
Clemens Meier once again demonstrated his boldness with his choice of pieces. Alongside "Children of Sanchez," "Schindler's List," and "Luftballons," the program also included songs from operettas, musicals, and rock/pop history. What particularly pleased me was that two of my own songs, "Bourbon Street" and "Taliesin," were also featured. Arranging the pieces for wind band was a lot of work, but it was enjoyable and worthwhile. Here's a reminiscence, published in the Seelbach community newsletter.
