"more than passion"
Music is more than a passion to me. It's an opportunity to develop myself, to give free rein to my creativity, to create new things, to try things out without risk to life or limb.
"Nothing is mandatory, everything is possible!"
While the different musical genres provide a framework through rhythm and harmony, it's still possible to push the boundaries and—curious about what happens—to combine different styles into something new. In doing so, I often venture off the beaten path, always searching for a new way, my own way.
"Music is therapy, it makes sense"
Music has a therapeutic side, especially for me. It helps me to center myself, to focus, and to immerse myself in the here and now. It gives me access to my inner world and brings order to the creative chaos in my mind. This allows me to cope better with myself, my surroundings, and thus with life itself.
In my compositions – which are predominantly created in the moment – I therefore deal with what I have just experienced and perceived with all my senses, what moves me internally and needs to be expressed.
"I want to share"
At my concerts, I want to share time with my audience, to take them on a little journey into the music, into my world of feelings and thoughts. Touches and interactions are not accidental, but intentional. This naturally requires a strong stage presence, spontaneity, and the courage to engage in dialogue with the audience. Musically, mentally, and physically, I often push myself to my limits, because I want to give everything to achieve my goal. And when the concert is over and my audience rewards my performance with applause, I know: it was worth it, or – to paraphrase Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen: "I've found my element!"
